IN HONOR OF THIN RED LINE FIREFIGHTER HEROES
Our K2 + D3 Vitamin Supplement is called "K-BAR", which is a specialized tool used by firefighters primarily to remove cylinder locks from doors. Firefighters often use a K-bar in conjunction with a Halligan bar; first using the K-bar to remove the cylinder lock, then using the Halligan bar to pry the door open.

Our K-Bar K2 + D3 contains Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) which is a fat-soluble vitamin that helps your body absorb calcium and phosphorus. Having the right amount of vitamin D, calcium and phosphorus is important for building and keeping strong bones. Vitamin D is used to treat and prevent bone disorders.*
A large and rigorous supplement trial found that four years of daily vitamin D supplementation may slow cellular aging. Researchers discovered that taking 2,000 IU of vitamin D3 daily reduced telomere loss, one of the most established markers of cellular aging, meaning this low-risk, widely accessible supplement could offer real anti-aging benefits when used consistently.*
More Benefits of Vitamin D:
1. Vitamin D may fight disease*:
In addition to its primary benefits, research suggests that vitamin D may also play a role in:
a. Reducing the risk of multiple sclerosis (MS): A 2017 review of population-based studies found that low levels of vitamin D are linked with an increased risk of MS.
b. Decreasing the chance of heart disease: Low vitamin D levels have been linked to increased risk of heart diseases such as hypertension, heart failure, and stroke. However, it’s unclear whether vitamin D deficiency contributes to heart disease or indicates poor health when you have a chronic condition.
c. Reducing the likelihood of severe illnesses: Although studies are mixed, vitamin D may make severe flu and COVID-19 infections less likely. A recent review found that low vitamin D levels contribute to acute respiratory distress syndrome.
d. Supporting immune health: People who do not have adequate vitamin D levels might be at increased risk of infections and autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, type 1 diabetes, and inflammatory bowel disease.
2. May regulate mood and reduce depression*
Research has shown that vitamin D might play an important role in regulating mood and decreasing the risk of depression.
a. A review of 7,534 people found that those experiencing negative emotions who received vitamin D supplements noticed an improvement in symptoms. Vitamin D supplementation may help people with depression who also have a vitamin D deficiency.
b. Another study identified low vitamin D levels as a risk factor for more severe fibromyalgia symptoms, anxiety, and depression.
3. May support weight loss**:
a. People with higher body weights have a greater chance of low vitamin D levels, and some studies suggest there may be a link between vitamin D and obesity, though more research is needed to verify this.
b. In an older study, people taking daily calcium and vitamin D supplements lost more weight than subjects taking a placebo supplement. The researchers suggest that the extra calcium and vitamin D may have had an appetite-suppressing effect.
Current research doesn’t support the idea that vitamin D causes weight loss, but there appears to be a relationship between vitamin D and weight.
Vitamin D has a best friend, Vitamin K. Vitamin K helps to maximize the benefits of vitamin D. Vitamin D helps the body absorb and use calcium and Vitamin K helps to direct the body to the proper places to store it, like in the bones.**
Our "K-Bar" complex also includes Calcium Carbonate and pure BioPerine® for long-term health benefits.
Calcium is needed by the body for healthy bones, muscles, nervous system, and heart. Calcium carbonate also is used as an antacid to relieve heartburn, acid indigestion, and upset stomach.*
BioPerine is a patented extract of piperine, a bioactive ingredient found in black pepper that gives it its spice and pungency. It's often used as a dietary supplement ingredient to improve the absorption of other nutrients and compounds. BioPerine is easy for the body to absorb and is rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.*
